Columbus Day Or Indigenous Peoples' Day? You Decide!

wolfdog makes a good point, but I could go for either side. There are many reasons to change the name, but there are also many reasons to keep it. keeping it would be protecting a traditional holiday that's been celebrated for hundreds of years. some people think about their future children growing up without a Columbus day; the holiday would be forgotten forever. But, if we're all being honest, Columbus was a terrible person. he never really even discovered America (he wasn't even the first one there), so why are we celebrating him? Hmmmm....
