this book is my second vav book

One Crazy Summer is about three sisters who travel to Oakland, California to visit their mother who left them when they were young. It takes place in the 1960s during the Civil Rights Movement. Their poet mother is not very friendly to the girls and doesn't seem to want them around. The sisters spend their days at a community center where they meet and are influenced by the Black Panthers. I loved the author's style of writing. She described events and characters in such a vivid and unique way. I found myself thinking that I would have never thought to describe things the way she did! It really created some memorable images for me. I also liked that it was a historical fiction book because I learned a lot about the Black Panthers.

I love this book!!!!! It makes you feel like your Greg Heffly. It gets very in depth about his life and his family. I recommend this book anyone who likes funny books. I think you should read this book if you haven't yet and I encourage you to read the series of this before this book.

This book is about a boy who gets gum clean up detention as a janitor and he thinks janitors or boring but then he discovers a secret lair in the janitor closet he did not know what to do him and his friends got some flashlights and the explore it. They are about to find out a secret about this school. You should read it, It is awesome and it has a twist that you will not expect.

When I grow up I always wanted to be a designer, and if I did grow up and design something I would NEVER think of an idea like that.
