I first watched this movie four years ago and it became my favorite movie. Soul Surfer is still my favorite movie today. Bethany Hamilton lives on the coast of Hawaii, so she naturally loves to surf. But for Bethany, her love for surfing is more than just a hobby. She surfs whenever possible, and she enters and wins lots of competitions. On Halloween morning, she goes to the beach with some friends. It starts out as a normal trip, but while she is surfing, a giant shark comes and bites off her whole arm. Bethany miraculously survives, but is not supposed to be able to surf ever again. She, however, is determined to get back into the water. So with the help of her family and friends, she defies all odds and decides she is going to surf again. Soul Surfer is such an inspiring movie. It really taught me that anything is possible if put your mind to it. I could watch it again and again.
